There are running water toilets right beside the pavilion (YAY) – I’ll have extra toilet paper, just In case. Giant Eagle and Walmart are only four or five miles away on Rt 8 if there are any emergencies. Our house is only a half mile away if anyone needs a break out of the sun – no beating up on our dogs, though!
You might want to bring money to visit St. Victor’s church festival – if you don’t mind walking, it’s about four blocks away. You can drive, too. They will have games with prizes and typical festival foods available – they usually have baked goods in the rec hall. Right across from St Victor’s is Edward’s Ice Cream – hard and soft ice cream and hot dogs.
Activities available:
- Softball – bring gloves, balls and bats if you have them.
Bob thought that coming at 10:00am would allow for a softball game before it gets too warm, and before lunch.
- Volleyball net – anyone that has a volleyball, please bring it with you. (sand court)
- There is another net that could be used for badminton – bring any raquets or birds you have. (sand court)
- There is a set of horseshoe pits – I hope someone has horseshoes.
- There are also two tennis courts – of course bring your own raquets and balls. (the courts are nice!)
