Bob and I decided on Bairdford Park just off of Bairdford Road (orange belt) in West Deer this year. I suppose that's the luxury of "being in charge" of the reuinion, and we hope we have not stepped on any toes by changing the location this year. Both of the past two years, I've had many requests for a softball field, so this year, we have access to at least one - possibly up to four fields. Now, I know we can't use them all, but we are permitted to use the nicer fields if there are no municipal games. If there is a game, then we have access to either of two lesser maintained fields above the pavilion. There are also two jungle gym type sets to entertain the kids a bit, and as you'll see on the checklist page, St. Victor's Catholic Church just a couple blocks from the park is having their annual festival with games, prizes and food, so that's an option, too. There is an ice cream stand right across from the church. Bairdford has about the same sized pavilion and number of tables on a cement pad, just like the VFW did, and also electric to run some crock pots or coffee pots, if need be. There are running water bathrooms, but no kitchen, so bring an ice cooler with lots of ice and cold drinks. Alcohol is permitted in the park. There is a page of directions and below are links to maps through the three big map services. I think Google maps is labeled about the most accurately, especially right around the park. I think Mapquest is the easiest to read if you're using the map just to get into Bairdford. Mapquest does not always give accurate driving directions, though, if you're going to try and print out driving directions. Just make sure you take a map of the streets, too.

For each of these maps, I typed in 135 Cedar Lane, Bairdford, PA 15006 as the address. That is a house about a softball's throw from the park; I could not get the maps to recognize "Bairdford Park", that's why the star on each map is right outside of the park itself.

If anyone knows of a family that should be included, like the Logues or any of the Kennedies, PLEASE, PLEASE, either get me a mailing address or an email address or for goodness sake ... PASS IT ON!! Anyone who passes for family is included!!

I hear rumors that we might even have a visit from Kathy Moore and from Darlene, Melissa & Family and Kevin!! Don't miss out this year!!
